PaddleOCR v0.9.0 • Equipment-Aware Audit Capture
ZERO PER-ASSET AI BILLING PP-OCRv5 recognition + evidence-preserving industrial parser runs in this iPad/browser. Photos are not sent to OpenAI or another paid AI API by this app.
Starting local OCR… This build uses the same browser OCR family that already started successfully in v0.3, but adds multi-angle scans, spatial label/value matching, evidence scoring, and a real progress bar.
Starting… 0% • elapsed 0:00 • stage timeout 0:45
Audit field rule: capture the core identity used by the PBNA audit register, then show only ratings that apply to the selected equipment type. The app must never invent a model, serial, year, identifier, or rating. Everything else remains preserved as supporting OCR evidence.

1. Site and relationship

2. Capture field evidence

Nameplate photo: fill most of the frame with the plate, hold the iPad square to it, use enough light, and avoid direct glare. v0.6 automatically checks orientation, crops the detected text region, and runs a higher-detail contrast pass.

Overall asset photo Whole unit and surrounding context.
No photo selected.
Nameplate / data plate Primary evidence for automatic extraction.
No nameplate photo selected.
Wait for the green Local OCR ready banner.
Pepsi / site asset tag Optional but recommended. v0.6.5 uses local OCR even when iPad barcode scanning is unavailable.
No asset-tag photo selected.
Supplemental plate / same asset Use for a second OEM plate, compressor plate, vessel plate, or other evidence belonging to THIS asset. Create a Child Asset for motors, VFDs, separators, pumps, etc.
No supplemental photo selected.
Supplemental evidence is analyzed and merged only into this asset record.

4. Extracted asset data

Green = strong read. Yellow = verify against the photo. The main form now mirrors the audit register: core identity first, followed only by ratings that apply to the selected equipment type.

Select an equipment type to display its applicable technical fields.

Core audit identity

Applicable electrical / mechanical ratings

Applicable process / capacity ratings

Additional OEM and site-tag evidence

Useful replacement and research evidence is retained here without expanding the standard audit form.

Preserved recognized nameplate data
Anything OCR reads but cannot safely map stays here for later engineering or OEM research.
0 unmapped lines
Run a scan to populate preserved evidence.
Run a scan to evaluate completeness.
OCR evidence and field matching
Use this only if the auto-orientation picks the wrong direction.
